Grandma’s Remedies – Breathing and Taking ‘You’ Time

When if feels like demands have backed you into a corner, the first thing you can forget to do is breath. So focusing on your breathing is a simple way to combat this.

Focusing on your breathing or mindful breathing entails stopping what you are doing and focusing on your breathing. Then to the slow count of three, breath in. Hold your breath for three. Then release that breath to the count of three. Continue this cycle for three cycles. Take notice of the difference in how your feel.

Regularly take time for yourself can help prevent you getting to the point of feeling baked into a corner. This may be simply taking time to restart a hobby you enjoyed, talking to friends, sitting quietly with a book, magazine or comic.
