What is Bowen Therapy?
This question is the most asked question of my professional life. So let us start with the basic’s of this remarkable therapy.
A Bowen Therapist rolls the muscles to stimulate the nerves underneath. In a set system of these moves, we get the body to respond and realign. In essence we are getting the human body to work for itself. A Bowen Therapy treatment takes approximately 1 hour of time. Unlike other modalities a Bowen Practitioner does a set amount of moves and then leaves the client for a minimum of 2 minutes. The practitioner then return’s to continue the treatment. This ‘leaving’ the client between moves has the benefit of allowing the body time to respond to the moves performed. It is what makes Bowen Therapy unique in this world.
