Welcome to the December edition of Setting the Path e-magazine 2012 Part A: Christmas carols, cold hams and frazzled nerves – don’t have the Christmas spirit give out on you

You know it’s coming. Woolies and Coles have been playing ‘Santa’s coming to town’ for the last month, the kids are being extra good and the fridge motor is getting that extra loud grind. It can only mean one thing – it’s CHRISTMAS. Like it (most of us do) or loathe it (there’s a few out there) this is the time for family, friends, food, fun and fantabulous festive furnishings. There’s no other time of the year like it – except, perhaps, when the tax refund comes through. The credit card is going to get worn thin, you’re going to eat every known combination of cocoa and sugar and you are going to enjoy yourself even if it kills you. Christmas is not usually a time for moderation, and all those good habits you’ve formed during the year – or wish you had formed – are going out the window for at least the next week…or until the leftovers run out.

The thing is, we get so desperate these days to enjoy Christmas, that the pressure often takes the fun away. Christmas means a lot of things to a lot of people, but in the 21st-century with credit card stress all around us and the kids ‘needing’ the latest version of ‘Call of Duty Black Ops’, we tend to get stuck on what we can’t have rather than what we could have. Perhaps it’s time to strip away all the glitz and glamour and take a look at what we want for ‘our’ Christmas this year.

And So What Is Bowen Therapy?

What is Bowen Therapy?

What is Bowen Therapy?

The Gentle Healing Technique

Bowen Therapeutic Technique (Bowen Therapy) is a dynamic system of muscle and connective tissue therapy that encourages the body to right itself. This technique involves a gentle roll over the muscle. By using a set system of these small moves from the base of the neck to the tips of the toes, with small waits of 2 minutes or more between sets of moves, the Bowen Therapist stimulates the body’s innate healing system to realign and re-balance.

What to expect when having a Bowen Therapy Treatment?

Bowen Therapeutic Technique (Bowen Therapy) is completely safe for the newborn baby to the frail and elderly. It is gentle, fast and an effective way to treat health concerns from sporting injuries to pain, stress and discomfort. Bowen Therapy stimulates the patient’s musculoskeletal system into realigning itself.

The beauty of Bowen Therapy is that it will not interfere, and works well, with all medication and/or dietary supplements and is gentle but powerful. A treatment takes about one hour.

What can Bowen Therapy do for me?

Bowen therapy is versatile and a dynamic remedial therapy which assists with a varied assortment of health concerns. Each treatment lasts about an hour.

Bowen Therapy is effective in treating:
