The Golden Rules are designed to help clients get the optimum out of their Bowen Treatment.
When I had my first Bowen Therapy treatment in early 1991 the hardest thing was to get up every half an hour and march on the spot for 5 minutes. Fortunately in this modern age of Bowen Therapy we don’t ask the client to march on the spot for 5 minutes.
What is important is that every 30 minutes you get up walk 13 to 14 steps and then sit back down.
Why? For with these little walks around the house the body has the full opportunity to rebalance after a Bowen treatment. This also brings on good blood circulation throughout the human body. Followed with getting the Lymphatic System up and running as it is movement based and gravity fed. The Lymphatic system is the sewer drainage pipes of the human body.
To help you keep focused on not sitting for longer than 30 minutes at time your Bowen Therapist will also likely remind you that when you get up to walk… Go to the tap and refill your water glass. Which is by the way, the next Golden Rule that I will discuss.
