The Bowen Theraputic Technique

The Bowen Therapeutic Technique is a set system of small moves that encourages the body to identify the problem and the to work to heal itself. It is a gentle, fast and effective way to treat muscle and connective tissue disorders. This technique can provide relief for a variety of conditions including sporting injuries, asthma, arthritis, and back pain.

More Doctors are now becoming familiar with the results of Bowen Technique, and are recommending people go to qualified Bowen practitioners.

How is a person treated

Bowen Technique involves small moves, which roll the muscles and activate the nerves underneath. In a set system of these small moves, the Bowen technique gets the body to realise there is a problem, and to begin to correct that problem. Bowen Technique literally awakens the body to heal itself.

Is it really that effective

Case histories and collated statistics show most people respond either immediately or within a week of the initial treatment. A second treatment is important to 'set' the adjustments that have been made. The second treatment is usually undertaken within seven days of the first treatment. The remaining clients, who do not respond immediately, usually have a complexity of problems, and will improve with continuing treatments. The Bowen Technique does not cause any interactions with any medications

How long does a treatment take

A treatment takes about 45 minutes, and most people need two treatments. However, those with long-term conditions may require regular treatments, spanning a greater length of time.

Is there an age limit

The Bowen Technique can benefit anyone, from newborn babies, to the frail and elderly, no matter what the condition.

Most importantly, is that Bowen Technique cannot hurt you!
